Amazon.com to Launch Weekly Original Series -- ``Amazon Fishbowl with Bill Maher''

Amazon.com (Nasdaq:AMZN) today announced "Amazon Fishbowl withBill Maher" -- a weekly original series that will stream live everyThursday night on the Amazon.com homepage beginning June 1. Sponsoredby UPS and hosted by comedian Bill Maher, "Amazon Fishbowl with BillMaher" is a 30-minute program featuring live performances by renownedmusicians and thought-provoking interviews with authors, directors,and actors.

Amazon.com will preview "Amazon Fishbowl with Bill Maher" at theSundance Film Festival this weekend and will offer customershighlights of the show on Amazon.com beginning Tuesday, January 24.Maher's guests for the Sundance preview show include musician RobThomas and bestselling author Stephen King, as well as writerArmistead Maupin and actress Toni Collette from "The Night Listener,"a Sundance debut film. King's latest novel, "Cell," is scheduled forrelease on January 24. The show's theme song, which was written andrecorded by Amazon customer-favorite musician John Hiatt, will alsodebut at the Sundance preview.
